PURPOSE:To achieve improvement in efficiency of recording operation by shortening rise time and to prevent deflection of liquid by a method wherein a heating fin to an upper part of which solid supplementary ink is supplied and a heat source which changes a phase of solid ink into liquid ink are provided. CONSTITUTION:Though liquid ink 8 reserved in an ink reserving part 1 is solid at start time, when heat with a heater 7 is transmitted to a heat reserving part 1 and a heating fin 3 via the ink reserving part 1 and a solid ink upper part is quickly heated to reach a melting point or higher, the solid ink is dissolved into liquid. Time required in rise time can be thus extremely shortened. The liquid ink 8 is filtered with a filter 6 in operation to reach an ink jetting part through an ink supply path 2 and is discharged. Then, when an ink jet recording head scans at high speed, a surface of the liquid ink 8 swings. However, since an inside of the ink reserving part 1 is partitioned normally to a scan direction with a plurality of fins 4, swing of the liquid can be restrained and variation in ink pressure can be prevented. |
