PRODUCTION OF GRANULAR VINYL CHLORIDE RESIN USED IN PASTE PROCESSING

摘要

PURPOSE:To produce the title resin having improved granular characteristics by drying an aq. dispersion of a vinyl chloride resin used in paste processing with drying air blown at a specified velocity in a piping connecting a spray dryer to an apparatus for separating granules from the drying air and granulating the resin. CONSTITUTION:After an aq. dispersion of a vinyl chloride resin used in paste processing is dried and granulated on a spray dryer 1, the granules are conveyed through a piping 2 by drying air blown at a velocity of 10 m/sec or lower to a pug mill 3, wherein the granules are separated from the drying air and collected. The granules are then conveyed through a high-concn. pneumatic transportation system 5 comprising a pressure tank and valves and a high-concn. pneumatic transportation piping 6 to a granule storage tank.
