An optical fiber cutter is provided to increase durability of a cutting blade by making a cutting body of the cutting blade of high-strength diamond and to prevent inconvenience in exchanging the cutting blade. In an optical fiber cutter(100), a cutting unit(30) is composed of a cutting body having a cover(33) hinge-combined on a longitudinal extension line of an optical fiber placed on the upside and opened or closed, and a slide cutter(40) reciprocating and sliding across the longitudinal direction of the optical fiber by interlocking with the cover and having a cutting blade protruded to cut the optical fiber. A collecting body is combined at the part where the slide cutter of the cutting body is installed, to partially insert the cut optical fibers into a gap between the collecting body and a press cover(52) hinge-joined at the upper side and moved up and down in sliding the slide cutter. Rollers(53,71) are combined to the press cover and the collecting body and contacted to each other about the inserted optical fiber. The roller of the collecting body is joined with the cover through an interlocking unit to transmit power. The cut optical fibers are collected in the collecting body by opening and closing the press cover in opening and shutting the cover and driving the roller of the collecting body at the same time. |
