A method for testing a nozzle of an ink jet head is provided to improve the quality of printing by detecting whether the nozzle has a defect or not within a short time and wiping a defect in the nozzle. A method for testing a nozzle of an ink jet head comprises the steps of: purging ink liquid from a nozzle(S100); obtaining an image by photographing a discharging space and generating image data corresponding to the image(S200); judging whether the nozzle has a defect or not by using the image data(S500); and wiping the nozzle if the nozzle has a defect(S700).
