PURPOSE:To prevent the occurrence of a lag in respose to a change in a car speed, by a method wherein, when deep step on of an accel pedal is detected, the driving motion of a rear wheel steering mechanism is stopped, and a driving motion speed is decreased. CONSTITUTION:A steering angle ratio deciding means 3 decides a steering angle ratio based on a steering angle ratio charateristics in which a ratio of a rear wheel steering angle to a front wheel steering angle is changed from negative to positive according to a car speed. A driving device 5 drives and controls a rear wheel steering mechanism so that rear wheels are set to a decided steering angle ratio. A control means 7, upon detection of deep step on of an accel pedal, brings the driving motion of the driving device 5 into a stop or decreases a drivinging motion speed. |
