An apparatus and a method for controlling a temperature using a peltier are provided to reduce power consumption and to control the temperature of an object by using a MOSFET(Metal Oxide Semiconductor Field Effect Transistor). A sensing unit(220) measures the current temperature of an object and outputs the signal about the current temperature. A command unit(210) outputs a signal for a target temperature of the object. A current control unit(271,272) and a switching unit(261,262) are composed of MOSFETs respectively. An error operation unit(230) calculates the error between a target temperature and a current temperature based on a signal inputted by the sensing unit and the command unit. A current direction signal generating unit(240) and a current quantity control signal generating unit(250) controls the temperature of the control object by outputting the direction and quantity of the control current flowing to a peltier(280). A switching unit controls the direction of the control current. The peltier unit is controlled by the switching unit and performs the heating and absorption operation by receiving the control current. |
