PURPOSE:To always ensure satisfactory riding performance and riding comfortableness by judging the condition of a road surface according to the integrating value of physical quantity, the variation of which is enlarged according to the projection and recess of a road surface, whereby the generated damping force of a shock absorber is changed. CONSTITUTION:The generated damping force of a shock absorber F is changed according to a signal level of a control signal. In this case, the physical quantity which changes depending on the projection and recess of a road surface is detected by a means A. The absolute value of the detected physical quantity is integrated by a means B. Further, according to an integration signal, the signal level of the above control signal is changed by a means C. On the other hand, the rate of change of physical quantity and a designated threshold value are compared with each other by a means D. When the rate of change of physical quantity is less than the threshold value, a control signal, the signal lever of which has been changed is output during designated time, and when the rate of change is more than the threshold value, a control signal of the signal level for decreasing the generated damping force is output during designated time respectively by a means E. |
