<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new adiponectin production enhancer having excellent adiponectin production-promoting activity and high safety, and expected to be widely applicable in medicines, food and beverage. <P>SOLUTION: The adiponectin production enhancer comprises sericin as an active ingredient. The medicine and the food or beverage each contains the adiponectin production enhancer.
