PURPOSE:To display a picture picked up with one camera as giving a feeling of depth by displaying an original picture and the picture of lowered luminance alternately every one picture element line in a vertical direction on a display device. CONSTITUTION:The picture of a subject moving in a horizontal direction is picked up by one TV camera 21. An obtained picture signal is separated into two parts by a picture signal distributor 22, and the signal of one side is inputted to a picture signal attenuator 23, and is outputted after its luminance component is reduced. Afterwards, two picture signals O, R different from each other in the luminance are synthesized by a signal synthesizing device 25, and are displayed on a flat display 11 on which a lenticular lens 12 constructed by arranging in parallel longitudinal lenses with the pitch of the portion of two dots of display picture element width is stuck together so that the picture signals O, R are arranged alternately every one dot in the vertical direction. Thus, when the flat display 11 is observed through the lenticular lens 12, the pictures of O, R enter left and right eyes 4L, 4R respectively, and a stereoscopic picture is obtained. |
