<p>PURPOSE:To improve intake charging efficiency and engine output more by mutually communicating independent passages for respective cylinders in both cylinder banks by means of an annular communicating passage across both banks, and also providing a connecting part to communicate the intermediate part of the annular communicating passage located between the cylinder banks with a main intake passage. CONSTITUTION:In an engine of V-6 cylinder type, No.1(#1), No.3(#3) and No.5(#5) cylinder of the first bank 11A, and No.2(#2), No.4(#4) and No.6(#6) cylinder of the second bank 11B are divided into two i.e., No.1 and No.2 cylinder groups respectively where the order of intake is not continuous. The intermediate parts of the first, second and third independent passages 12(1)-12(3) to the first cylinder group, and the intermediate part of the fourth, fifth and sixth independent passage 12(4)-12(6) to the second cylinder group are communicated by the first communicating part 15A and the second communicating part 15B respectively. Thus, an annular passage is constituted by the first and second communicating part 15A and 15B, an upstream part of the third and sixth independent passage 12(3) and 12(6) which communicate to each other in an assembly chamber 14, and an upstream part of the first and fourth independent passage 12(1) and 12(4) which communicate to each other in the assembly chamber 14.</p> |
