An animal watering device for hogs or the like adapted to connect to a source of water. The device includes a housing having a passageway with a valve means therein that is operated by an adjustable valve operator. The valve operator is partially positioned in a downwardly inclined spout that has outwardly extending web elements. The animal bites the spout and valve operator to open the valve means permitting the animal to drink the water. The web elements perclude operation of the device from any position other than substantially directly in front of it.
