PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a broadcast receiver detecting the reception situation of radio wave from other stations without deteriorating the reception situation of a broadcast station in the middle of reception at present in digital broadcast where continuous time series data are transmitted. SOLUTION: Interleaving quantity in the direction of a time axis, which is performed on data received at present, is judged. The reception of the broadcast station in the middle of reception at present is interrupted and the reception situation of radio wave from other stations is detected in a range where lack data can be restored by an error correction processing in interleaving and demodulation.
