The cutting tool for machine processing uses a reversible cutter unit which can be firmly clamped in a shaft recess open on three sides by means of a clamping shoe. The cutter unit is in the form of a rhomboidal column. The parallel side walls, having an angle of inclination less than 90 deg. form diagonally opposite cutting edges. The distal ends of the cutting surfaces can be pressed into the correspondingly inclined rear wall of the shaft recess. The mounting surfaces of the cutter unit have grooves cooperating with parallel recesses in the shaft recess. This forms a space in which the shafts of the clamping shoe can engage. |
