Rear luggage grid for bicycle - with upright hoop from hub for lateral stability and support for spring luggage clamp

The rear luggage grid for the bicycle has a main support formed by a metal hoop (19) which straddles the rear wheel and has its free ends secured on the hub fitting. The horizontal section of the luggage grid is slung between the arms of the hoop with its outer end while the inner end is secured to the bicycle frame by an adjustable clamp (17). The horizontal section has a raised stepped profile (15) near the frame to provide strength as well as to prevent the load from sliding. The upper section of the hoop prevents the load from slipping off the rear of the grid as well as providing a hand grip for holding the machine.
