High kinetic energy flywheel rotor - has flywheels of Laval shape integral with rims of constant thickness

The flywheel rotor is for the accumulation of kinetic energy to the maximum amount, comprising one or more flywheels at least partly of the shape of a Laval wheel. At the periphery of the Laval wheel portion, this joins onto and is integral with a rim (6), whose thickness is at least equal to that at the periphery (5) of the Laval portion. The rotor can be assembled from a number of coaxial flywheels fixed together, or in one piece, machined on a lathe. The rims can be welded onto the flywheels. The individual flywheels can be separated from each other by a coaxial connecting ring, fixed to them along its end edges, and with a radius roughly half of that of the flywheels.
