<p>PURPOSE:To permit a single unit of projector lamp to give two types of light distribution, i.e., low beam and high beam, by furnishing a shielding member movably between the shield position on a light path, which passes under the focal point of a convex lens, and the retreat position from the light path, and by providing a driving means for movement of this shielding member. CONSTITUTION:A shielding member 19 for the low beam located inside of a lamp body 14 is arranged movably between the shield position as advancing onto the light path (a) of the beam passing under the focal point f3 of a convex lens 18 and the retreat position as retreated from this light path (a). When a solenoid 26 is deenergized, a rotary shaft 20 is rotated upward, and the shielding member 19 advances to the shield position on the light path (a). The beam passing under the focal point f3 toward the convex lens 18 is blocked by the shielding member 19, and the light distribution for the low beam having got rid of the upward directed beam is obtained. When the solenoid 26 is turned on, the rotary shaft 20 is rotated downward, and the shielding member 19 retreats from the shielding position to the retreat position to be off from over the light path (a). The beam passing under the focal point f3 is projected ahead as it is via the convex lens 18, and thus the light distribution for the high beam is obtained.</p> |
