PURPOSE:To reduce power consumption and to extend the operating time attended therewith by giving a pause to a transmission section when a radio telephone set is in its incoming display operation. CONSTITUTION:Upon the receipt of a channel designation signal, a radio telephone set 2 switches its channel from a control channel to a speech channel similar to that of a master set 1 and sends a channel changeover end signal after the end of the changeover. Then the radio telephone set 2 pauses a transmission section 22 after the transmission of the channel changeover end signal, receives a call signal sent from the master set 1 while a reception section 21 is operated as it is to apply the incoming display operation. Thus, the power consumption is reduced. On the other hand, when the master set 1 receives the channel changeover end signal from the radio telephone set 2, a transmission section 12a sends a call signal while keeping the speech channel and a reception section 12b is restored to the control channel to await a reply from the radio telephone set 2. |
