PURPOSE:To decrease a transfer time by transferring three primary colors information and the number of the picture element, in which the three primary colors information is continued, at one unit of 8 bits as one unit of data transfer. CONSTITUTION:A system is constituted of a television receiver and equipment of a VTR,etc., connected to the receiver. When the operating contents (for example, rewinding, quick feeding, etc.,) of the VTR by a remote control signal are displayed on the television screen, character display pattern data in accordance with the operating contents are transferred from the VTR to the television receiver. In such case, one unit of data transfer is made into 8 bits, 3 higher order bits are made into the display data corresponding to three primary colors of respective red, green and blue and 5 lower order bits are made into the number of the display picture element. Then, when the same color is continuous, the picture element up to 32 can be transferred at one unit, therefore, compared with the conventional technology to transfer the three primary colors information at 3 bits for one picture element, the number of transfer data is decreased and a transfer time is decreased. |
