摘要 PURPOSE:To prevent worsening of running sensation during cold down and decrease of an output, by a method wherein, in a engine which performs control of an output by varying the opening timing of a control valve in an intake air passage, when a cold down time is detected, variation in the opening timing of the control valve is stopped. CONSTITUTION:A throttle valve 16, a surge tank 17, a rotary type control valve 18, and an injector 19 are situated, in order, from the upper steam side in a common intake air passage 15 communicated to an actuating chamber 7. The control valve 18 is rotationally driven through transmission means 24 and 25 by means of an output shaft 26 of an engine RE, and the opening timing the control valve is controlled by a control circuit 27 by means of detecting signals from a throttle opening sensor 28, an eccentric shaft rotation angle sensor 29, and a number of revolutions of engine sensor 30. In this case, a temperature sensor is situated in the body of the control valve 18, and detecting signal from the temperature sensor is inputted to a control circuit 27. When a cold down time is detected, a variation in the opening timing of the control valve 18 is stopped.
