Method for seizing, transporting, and fastening a cap on a container. The invention relates to a device making it possible to seize, handle, present and fasten a cap on a container. It is composed of a seizing head (16) and of a fastening head (17) which are mounted flexibly on a support (18) held between two arms (13) which are driven by a jack (ram) (15). A carriage (22) (23) enables the assembly (18) to be set in motion, either in translation or in rotation. The protective cap (inner capsule) (12) is thus removed from its loader (10) and presented and then fixed on the container. The heads are positioned with respect to each other, one in the other, by mechanical means which make it possible for the loader (10) not to be touched and also permit satisfactory holding of the protective cap (12) throughout the fixing operation. <IMAGE>
