<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently recover Co by eluting the Co selectively from waste secondary battery materials contg. Co compds., etc., by an emulsion extractant consisting of an alkyl phosphoric acid-contg. org. soln. and hydrogen peroxide. SOLUTION: The emulsion extractant consisting of the org. soln. (kerosene, etc.) contg. the alkyl phosphoric acid (bis-2-ethyl hexyl phosphate, etc.) and the water contg. the hydrogen peroxide is brought into contact with the waste secondary batteries, such as defective electrode materials contg. the Co compds. (LiCoO2 , etc.) and waste metallic foil coated materials formed by coating the electrode materials with the metallic foil, by which the Co is selectively eluted and recovered into the org. soln. At this time, the concn. of the alkyl phosphoric acid in the org. soln. is specified to about 1 to 50wt.%, the concn. of the hydrogen peroxide to about 1 to 35wt.%, the concn. of the hydrogen peroxide in the emulsion extractor to 0.05 to 10wt.% and the water to 0.5 to 50wt.%. As a result, the Co is selectively and efficiently recovered from the waste secondary battery materials.</p> |
