PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To install a retainer only when a flat cable is inserted into a normal position. SOLUTION: A through-hole 24 is formed in the peripheral wall of a housing 20 having a slit-like opening 21, a detecting piece 50 is supported in the through- hole 24 so as to be rotated and since the outer end of the detecting piece 50 is protruded to the outside of the housing 20 so as to interfere with the arm parts 42 and 42 of a retainer 40 when a flat cable 10 is not inserted into a normal position, the retainer 40 is not installed and thus an inserting failure is determined. |
