HIERARCHICAL SEGMENTATION APPARATUS IN VIDEO SIGNAL ENCODER

摘要

The apparatus is for segmenting image signal finely. It includes a 1st segmentation circuit(100) segmenting input image signal with edge detection method and providing texture and contour information for preset the proceeding segment, a detector(200) detecting complexity of present segment and providing corresponding selection signal according detected complexity, and a selector(300) providing the texture and contour information selectively according the selection signal.
