PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an embroidery data creating device which can easily create embroidery data corresponding to a desired stitching pattern without re-making a unit pattern. SOLUTION: A unit pattern T (m, n) is two-dimensionally arranged in such a manner that a specified embroidery region may be enclosed by a contour line 41 (only one part is shown in the sketch). The unit pattern T is constituted of a rectangular region 45 which becomes a unit for a stitching pattern, and a line figure 47 which is drawn in the rectangular region 45. In the meantime, for the embroidery region, a large number of stitching lines L are set along desired stitching lines (only one is shown in the sketch). The unit pattern T which crosses with the stitching line is extracted, and the cross point between the line figure 47 in the extracted unit pattern T and the stitching line L is made a needle location point. Even when the direction of the stitching line L, the arrangement direction of the unit pattern T, and a shifting width or the like are changed, the needle location point is formed along the line figure 47, and the desired stitching pattern is obtained.
