PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To place an iron main body in the correct direction for use without mistake, and improve handling by a method wherein the iron main body which is mounted on the stand, is housed in a manner to be surrounded by a housing case, and the housing case is formed of a transparent or semi-transparent member through which the inside is visible. SOLUTION: An iron main body 4 is mounted on its stand 5 in such a manner that the pressing surface of the base 4a faces downward, and the iron main body 4 tilts with the front side being higher, and a housing case 6 is provided in a manner to surround and cover the whole body of such an iron main body 4 from the top. For the housing case 6, the lower opening is made fittable on the outer periphery of the stand 5, and in the vicinity of the lower opening, a lock device 8 which detachably combines the housing case 6 and the stand 5, is provided. Also, on the top surface of the housing case 6, a handle 7 for carrying is rotatably provided. Then, the housing case 6 is formed of a member of a transparent or semi-transparent thermoplastic resin or the like, and the state of the inside can be easily seen from the outside.
