PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a luminaire having satisfactory photocatalyst activity and easily preventing pollution. SOLUTION: This luminaire with a photocatalyst is provided with a luminaire body 5 and a photocatalyst film 6 coated at least on part of the luminaire body 5, and the photocatalyst film 6 is formed with a mixture of a photocatalyst oxide, an alkaline earth metal oxide or an amphoteric metal oxide and a binder resin. At least one kind selected from among Mg, Ca and Sr is preferably used for the alkaline earth metal oxide, and at least one kind selected from Al, Zn, Si and Sn is preferably used for the amphoteric metal oxide. At least one kind selected from either a silicone compound or a fluororesin is preferably used for the binder resin, and a layer made of a material with a high ultraviolet- ray reflection factor is preferably used for the substrate of the photocatalyst film 6.
