PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transmission type display excellent in the use efficiency of illumination light. SOLUTION: The display is equipped with a light source part which emits illumination light, a plurality of openings which transmit the illumination light or shield against the light to display an image, and a light-shielding part disposed as a specified pattern among a plurality of openings to shield against transmission of the illumination light. The display has a reflection layer which reflects the illumination light to return to the light source part and which is disposed in the light source side of the light-shielding part and in the position overlapping at least with the light-shielding part in the direction perpendicular to the principal plane of the panel. |
