PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent dielectric of a discharge part from cracking due to internal stresses, based on the difference in temperatures in a gas laser oscillator. SOLUTION: A gas laser oscillator comprises a discharge part 1 for exciting a gas CO2 as a laser medium. A dielectric 3 is provided on the facing sides of a pair of metal electrodes 2, which constitutes the discharge part 1 and is disposed, so as to face each other. The dielectric 3 has a prescribed dielectric constantε1 , and the entire contact part thereof with the metal electrode 2 is cooled. An electrical insulator 4, having dielectric constantε2 a smaller than the predetermined dielectric constantε1 , is embedded in an outer periphery of the dielectric 3. |
