PURPOSE: An inverter system is provided to protect effectively system by detecting over-current and a three-phase unbalanced current. CONSTITUTION: A power supply(100) supplies electric power. The first current sense portion(110) detects an over-current state of the electric power supplied from the power supply(100). An AC/DC converter(120) is used for converting AC power of the power supply(100) to DC power. A power factor compensation circuit portion(130) is used for boosting the converted DC power. A three-phase AC converter(140) is used for the boosted DC power to three-phase AC power. The second current sense portion(150) detects an unbalanced state of the three-phase AC power of the three-phase AC converter(140) or a compressor(160). A micro computer(170) controls an operation of the system according to detected results of the first and the second current sensor portions(110,150).
