A plasma display apparatus is provided to simplify configuration of driving circuits by operating a switch which flows current of a reset erasing pulse with respect to the ground. A plasma display apparatus includes an electrode driving circuit which applies scan, sustain, and reset pulses to electrodes. The electrode driving circuit includes a scan driver and a negative polarity reset pulse generator. The scan driver includes first and second switching elements(SW1,SW2), and first and second diodes(D1,D2) which are connected in parallel to the first and second switching elements, respectively. Connection nodes of a lower voltage terminal of the first switching element and a higher voltage terminal of the second switching element are connected to the electrodes. The negative polarity reset pulse generator applies a second waveform voltage gradually decreased according to the elapse to the high potential terminal of the first switching element and generates an overlapped voltage with the second waveform voltage to overlap the second waveform voltage with a DC(Direct Current) voltage between the high potential terminal of the first switching element and the low potential terminal of the second switching element. By turning off the first switching element and turning on the second switching element, the overlapped voltage is applied to the electrodes.
