PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antenna device for radio communication capable of improving an SN ratio by reducing antenna coupling among a plurality of feed antenna elements or capable of increasing communication capacity by reducing a spatial correlation among the feed antenna elements, and to provide a radio communication method. SOLUTION: In the antenna device 1 for radio communication in which a plurality of antenna elements having the same polarization characteristics are arranged to form a line, antenna elements of both ends of the line out of the antenna elements arranged to form the line are feed antenna elements 11 and 12, antenna elements arranged between the feed antenna elements 11 and 12 at both ends are parasitic antenna elements 21 to 24, the parasitic antenna elements 21 to 24 are terminated by reactive elements 31 to 34, and the reactance value of the reactive elements 31 to 34 is set to a value for maximizing an expected value of communication capacity in radio communication.
