1. A system comprising:
a network of controllers for managing transactions to and from a plurality of storage units and for maintaining transaction logs containing details of the transactions; a fault tolerance module which upon execution instructs at least one processor to: segregate transaction logs received from the network into separate lists allocated in a memory such that each list contains transaction logs generated by one storage unit; derive a content checksum for content in each received transaction log; and derive a pointer checksum for each address associating a pair of received transaction logs in each list.
