PURPOSE:To emit light uniformly from the whole diffusion layer by making the light from a light source which is at a distance from a transparent body incident on the transparent body from its incidence surface through many optical fibers, reflecting the light by reflecting surfaces, and then irregularity reflecting the light in the diffusion layer covering a projection surface and radiating the light out. CONSTITUTION:The light from a light source unit 52 is made incident on the incidence surface 32 of the transparent body 30 from an end surface of an optical fiber 50 which is arrayed linearly, reflected and by reflecting surfaces 34 and 36 and projected at various angles, and diffused by a diffusion plate 48. The light is shown by plural straight-line arrows, but the light is actually diffused by the diffusion plate 48 and radiated in random directions. Consequently, the whole diffusion plate 48 illuminate almost uniformly in both an X and a Y direction. Therefore, when an object such as an electronic component is positioned on or above the diffusion plate 48, its excellent silhouette is obtained. |
