PURPOSE:To recognize a hierarchical sequence of each mode or each item related to the mode in a hierarchical structure by a method wherein an indication position of a mode or an item related to the mode is controlled so as to be corresponding to the hierarchical sequence thereof in the hierarchical structure. CONSTITUTION:When a cursor is shifted to a mode of the same sequence in a hierarchical structure, a DELTA key 17 or a key 19 is depressed. When a cursor is shifted rightward or leftward to a mode of an upper or lower sequence, a key 21 or a key 23 is depressed. Modes of the 1st sequence are so indicated as to be trued up on the left end of an LCD 1. Modes of the 2nd sequence are so indicated as to be trued up on the left end of the LCD 1 with a space for one character retracted. Modes of the 3rd sequence are so indicated as to be trued up on the left end of the LCD 1 with a space for two characters retracted. Modes of the 4th sequence are so indicated as to be trued up on the left end of the LCD 1 with a space for three characters retracted. Since each mode is indicated on a position corresponding to its hierarchical sequence in this manner, an upper mode, a lower mode, or an identical mode for a currently indicated mode can be easily identified, and an operability is remarkably improved. |
