<p>Hydrophilic/hydrophobic light-sensitive material is produced by adding to a material that contains a finely divided radiation sensitive substance and a sensitising agent in a binder comprising hydrophibicising agent consisting of a 6-24C carboxylic acid, a water repellent silicone and a water-repellent fluoro-hydrocarbon. Non-image parts become hydrophobic, image parts hydrophilic, so that a positive image is obtained. Aq. developer may contain pigments. Pref. the radiation sensitive substance is photoconductive or photoemissive and comprises a cpd. of Gp. II or Gp IV element e.g. ZnO, TiO2, CdS. Pref. the sensitiser is a metal halide or a metal acetylacetonate, esp Cu(II) acetylacetonate. The water-repellent is pref e.g. polydimethylsiloxane.</p> |
