<p>PURPOSE:To prevent sheets from being inserted wrongly by providing a manual insertion hole with a shutter, and closing the shutter when a sheet is in danger of lying on another already inserted, while opening the shutter when the sheet is in no such danger. CONSTITUTION:A copy is detected by a sensor 148 when inserted into a main body. The sensor 148 detects the rear end of the copy and at the same time a solenoid 146 is turned off and a shutter 136 is closed. The shutter 136 is kept closed until the time required for obtaining an interval at which the copy does not lie on another ahead of it elapses, the time being longer than that required for the copy inserted to lie over a sensitized material after the shutter is closed or that required for a jam of copies or sensitized material to be detected. After this safety time elapses, the solenoid 146 is turned off and at the same time the shutter 136 is opened and the next copy C can be inserted. Accurate image formation is thus made possible and also damaging of sheets can be prevented.</p> |
