<p>The magnet powder, e.g. Ba-ferrite oxide, cobalt-samarium, is mixed with a cold hardening mortar, e.g. cement, gypsum, plastics, and then moulded in required shape. Magnetism is induced by a single current pulse e.g. for a mixt. of 15,000 pbw cement-sand mortar with 1 pbw Ba-ferrite oxide a pulse of 200 A for 1/100 secs. is used to produce 0.5 G field. The field strength is varied by varying the component ratio of the mixt.</p> |
