PURPOSE:To select a desired optical disk medium by writing the information which can discriminate it from other optical disk medium in the manufacturing process, in the optional track or sector of the optical disk medium. CONSTITUTION:As for an optical disk medium, rewriting cannot be executed, therefore, inspecting tracks 2, 3 are provided on the outside and the inside of a used track 1 for an inspection use. Usually, by using this part, the optical disk medium is inspected and that which has no abnormality is delivered. In this inspecting process, a serial number of production is written, for instance, in the innermost peripheral track of the used track 1 and the medium in which its number is written correctly is delivered as a non-defective. In this way, by reading out the number which is written in the track 4, the optical disk medium can always be discriminated. |
