<p>A mounting for an input or output shaft (1) in a gear casing (2), particularly for a pinion shaft in a passenger-car rear-axle gear casing (2), comprises a bearing unit containing two rows of rolling bodies, two inner rings (5 and 6), and a common outer ring (8) supported radially in a casing bore (9), there being a radial attachment flange (10) formed on the outer ring (8) and fixed to a transverse support surface (12) of the gear casing, (2) which flange (10) alone locates the outer ring (8) axially in relation to the gear casing (2). <IMAGE></p> |
