<p>#CMT# #/CMT# The method involves applying an electrochemical treatment to a measurement electrode of an amperometric sensor such that the electrode is traversed by positive electric current during measurement phases and by negative electric current between the phases. The electrochemical treatment is constituted by a sequence of imposed electric potentials (Em, Et), where the potential (Et) is between -300 to +300 millivolts, and the potential (Em) is between +300 to +800 millivolts with respect to the potential (Et). #CMT# : #/CMT# An independent claim is also included for an amperometric analysis device. #CMT#USE : #/CMT# Used for performing amperometric analysis for measuring free or total concentration of sulfur dioxide in a solution (claimed) such as liquid food product e.g. wine. #CMT#ADVANTAGE : #/CMT# The method permits to measure the concentration of sulfur dioxide with sensitivity, precision, reliability and simplicity while eliminating the formation of an inhibitor layer on the measurement electrode. #CMT#DESCRIPTION OF DRAWINGS : #/CMT# The drawing shows an amperometric sequence according to an amperometric analysis method.
