PURPOSE:To obtain the adequate degree of turbulence and the degree of pressure loss corresponding to an oil temperature by a method wherein a shape memory alloy is utilized for a turbulator, the torsional degree of the turbulator is made variable corresponding to the oil temperature. CONSTITUTION:A turbulator 4 formed of a shape memory alloy is inserted into a heat transferring tube 1 through which an oil acting as a fluid is flowed. The shape memory alloy utilized in the turbulator 4 presents a spiral shape having a small torsional pitch during high temperature, accordingly, the turbulence of the oil is increased, thereby, the heat transfer coefficient of the inside is improved. On the other hand, when the oil is at intermediate temperature, a relatively large torsional pitch is obtained, further, when the oil is at lower temperature, the memory alloy becomes a belt-shaped plate 5, then the oil turbulence inside of the tube hardly appears, thereby, the pressure loss of the oil is decreased.
