The surface crack sealing method involves using an inflatable balloon (1) inserted against the tunnel wall surface, after which the rock (10) at the rear of it is injected (2) with cement mortar. The balloon provides a counter pressure to the mortar injected which flows forward via the rock cracks (4) towards the balloon.
