In an electronically controlled arrangement for changing the transmission ratio of a speed-change gearbox of a drive assembly of a motor vehicle, a change with the effect of changing-up, which change was prevented by an inhibiting signal formed as a function of parameters of the control of the drive assembly or of the driving state, is re-authorised when the accelerator pedal 10 reaches again a significant position determined by a change in level of the inhibiting signal and when a delay time determined by the actuation of the accelerator pedal 10 has elapsed. Accelerator position (10) and outpeed speed (70) signals are input to a control unit (21). A change-up line (212) incorporates a delay element (100) and a switch (102) controlled by a bistable multivibrator (108) according to inputs from an accelerator pedal threshold value circuit (N11).
