<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a glass composition suitably used for sealing a metal and a ceramic, a metal and a metal, and a ceramic and a ceramic and for forming high strength and high expansive crystallized glass capable of being used at a high temperature of ≥950°C. <P>SOLUTION: The glass composition for sealing is the crystallized glass having (90-110)×10<SP>-7</SP>/°C thermal expansion coefficient at 50-550°C and ≥80 MPa bending strength and formed by firing glass powder comprising a glass composition at 850-1,050°C. The glass composition contains substantially no alkali metal and contains 15-30 mass% SiO<SB>2</SB>, 0-5 mass% Al<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>, 20-35 mass% B<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>, 10-25 mass% CaO, 25-35 mass% MgO, 3-8 mass% ZrO<SB>2</SB>(where, excluding 3.0%) and 0-3 mass% CeO<SB>2</SB>expressed in terms of oxide. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
