The control unit includes at least a monitoring circuit. Several monitoring sensors can be connected to the central unit and the opening of one or several cabinets can be detected. The central unit has a signal suppression unit (30) which can suppress an alarm signal when activated by a switching impulse. Preferably, the signal suppression unit is only activated for the duration of an activation phase and is automatically deactivated after the phase is expired. The duration of the activation phase is preset. The signal suppression unit suppresses only a first alarm signal following the switching impulse.
