PURPOSE: To provide a method wherein assay can be performed or it can be carried out again by using substantially same two sensors and utilizing the output, characteristic of one of the two sensors with the other sensor measured result. CONSTITUTION: A first sensor 1, a second sensors 2, a computer 3 and a display 4 are provided. A physical quantity (x), for instance, a measuring device for measuring a distance L between end faces is formed with them. The output characteristic curve of the first sensor is divided into measuring area parts having width corresponding to the difference between physical quantity values x, x+a. The known part of the output characteristic curve of the first sensor 1 is gradually enlarged in the direction of increase of a physical quantity by a new known measuring area part by using the measured result of the second sensor when starting is performed from the known coordinate value of the start point of the output, characteristic curve of the first sensor and measurement is carried out. The output characteristic curve of the first sensor can be assayed or assayed again. |
