PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording device and a reproducing device which permit the easy reproduction of only a desired piece of music among a plurality of recorded pieces. SOLUTION: A system controller 31 reads music data recorded on each track of a CD 21, and recognizes original data to preferentially be reproduced from a plurality of music data on the basis of the recorded positions of the music data in the CD 21 in the process of recording the music data on an MD 11. The system controller 31 controls a head drive part 19 and an optical pickup 13 to record the discrimination information for discriminating the recognized original data from other music data on the UTOC 2 area of the MD 11. |
