PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a differential gear capable of obtaining stable friction torque, that is, differential limiting force by restraining inclination of a pinion gear stored to freely slide and rotate in a storing hole. SOLUTION: In this differential gear 7, at least one pinion gear 55 of a pair of pinion gears 55, 56 has a small-diameter shaft part 56 between a part meshing with one of a pair of side gears 33, 35 and a part meshing with the other pinion gear, a mutual meshing part of the paired pinion gears 55, 56 is positioned outside in the axial direction of at least one side gear 35, and a cam gear 53 having recessed parts 75, 77 forming a part of an inner wall of the storing hole 57 of a differential gear case 21 and respectively storing the meshing parts of the paired pinion gears 55, 56 is disposed between at least one side gear 35 of the paired side gears 33, 35 and the differential gear case 21.
