RESOLVER/DIGITAL CONVERTER AND CONVERSION METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resolver/digital converter capable of eliminating the direct current error of an A/D converter and accurately detecting an angle without applying excessive load on a microcomputer. SOLUTION: A rectangular wave is supplied to the R phase coil 3 of the resolver/digital converter 10 of 1-phase excitation and 2-phase output as an excitation signal, and output voltage from an A-phase coil 1 and a B-phase coil 2 is sampled by the A/D converter 13 respectively. Two times sampling is performed every one cycle of the excitation signal, and continuous sampling data are subtracted. Therefore a direct current error component is eliminated. Sampling can be stably performed by making the waveform of the excitation signal the rectangular wave.
