PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify the structure of a pit section constituting a manhole bottom section, and to enable assembly even when a dimensional error in case of molding is generated. SOLUTION: A manhole has a vertical pipe 2 in which an outlet 4, to which a branch pipe 3 is connected, is bored to a lower-section side face, a short pipe-shaped invert member 7, which is inserted from the lower section of the vertical pipe 2 and in which a recessed curved surface 8 introduced from the inside of the vertical pipe 2 to the outlet 4 is formed at an upper end and a flange section 10 abutted against the lower-end periphery 2b of the vertical pipe 2 is formed at a lower-end outer periphery while a cutoff ring 12 fast stuck between the inner circumferential surface of the vertical pipe 2 and the invert member 7 is secured on an outer circumferential surface, and a cap member 15 covering the lower end 2a of the vertical pipe 2 from an outer circumferential while holding the flange section 10 and being fixed onto the vertical pipe 2.
